Sammy1990: Thank you so much! just hearing that made me feel WAY better! I'm hoping he passes asap! :)

Nicole, I believe they test daily for the swim. the sr's are usually out of fit pretty fast if they are there for swim. weds night is probably the last bs before pir, so that's why he said weds. I do not know if they can swim in the weekend, but I would doubt it. they have minimal staffing on the weekends. they use the treadmills, etc.

I know once they get into the FIT program they go swimming twice a day, but does anybody know if they go swimming twice a day on the weekends as well?...

Congratulations proudmom. That's a good question, how long was he in the FIT division?

I just got the call that my son passed his run. One proud mom here!

I can beat that! I got the call hours into battle stations. I was sure he had passed and was there. only to find out he was in fit. but it all worked out for the best. 5 years later he's got to decide if he wants to make it a career. just received #1 e-5 for his command and hasn't had a single pfa problem once in the fleet. he does the bike now.

I got the call two hours before his division was to start battlestations. Talk about waiting till the last minute!!

That's good they put him in FIT now so he'll have more chances to pass before his PIR. My daughter was having problems with the swim since day one and they waited till after my daughter's PIR before they put her in FIT.

Got a call today from my boyfriend, saying he was put in FIT...he is having a hard time passing the swim qual :(

Since he'll be going to the pool twice a day now (instead of once) he says he's confident he can get it in time...

My heart is just breaking for him though because I could hear it in his voice how drained he was. I just feel so helpless. I wish there was something I could do. His expected PIR is 1/22...
