diannep my son's PIR was 9/25 and failed part of the swim test. Well Wednesday me called and stated that he passed!!!! Yeah. He did BST last night and we have not received the I am Sailor call yet. Should I be worried?

Here is the PFA chart that gives requirements for the age/gender of the SRs:

Jenuwin:  Was our SR in PIR 10/02?  If so, once they miss their own, they have no graduation.  They will stay in FIT and test every 48 hrs during the week, and once they pass, they do BattleStations, have a short Liberty, and head to A School.  Prayers for your almost-sailor!

Vanessa, that's heartbreaking to hear about the lap counter messing up. does that happen often? did they even consider letting you have one more try? thanks for checking in. and good luck with all you do now.

Hi guys . I'm Vanessa . I'm on my dads account . I just recently got separated from the navy because I didn't pass my PFA ... I was 30 seconds off . And I hurt my knee . On my final attempt I passed by 23 seconds but the sensor didn't count 2 of my laps . So they marked it as a failure ... I was in fit for 4 weeks . We took a PFA every Monday Wednesday and Friday and we did PT every day . Unfortunately I didn't get to graduate with my division . And once you pass if your division is gone then you will not have a graduation . You will go to battle stations and then be sent to temporary holding until you get your orders for your A school . While in fit you have 10 attempts to pass and trust me , anywhere from 2-20 people pass daily ... Plus the the RDC's are very supportive and motivational ... I unfortunately was that one recruit that didn't make it .

our son failed the run by 16 seconds. we heard monday, but never heard back. he's obviously now going to FIT. anyone know time needed for the 1.5 mile run? just curious. i did read they test every other day for the run, but it's so frustrating not knowing IF or WHEN he might now graduate. we cancelled all travel plans, but will drive 14 hrs to grad if we get enough time to know.

janc62:  There is a BattleStations tonight.  Sometimes this close to PIR, they let them call if they passed their PFA on Wed before they have completed BattleStations, but I'm not sure they always do that.  I know there is someone in tomorrow's PIR group who has your situation with their SR.....they decided to keep their travel plans and just hope his name is at the gate.  If not, they will be turned away and will just sightsee, but of course, will be very disappointed.
