Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

he'll enjoy his liberty with his friends. mine had a good time. have him pick up a pay per use phone like an att "go phone". then he can text ppl (and call) until he gets his regular phone. where is his A school?

He sounded so good. I was so relieved to hear his voice. He was so excited. He was like "I'm Free, I'm Free", LOL... I just wish I could go see him this coming weekend since he said he will get Liberty just like the others.

fabulous news! I wonder why he wasn't allowed to call yesterday (they don't test on the weekend). welcome to the club "I survived my kid's time in fit". we're a hardy bunch! be sure to all Alex a lot of questions and post the answers here for future moms to ready. enjoy!

I got a phone call this evening... Alex PASSED his PFA with 18 seconds to spare. Monday he will be doing BS with the division that night.

He was so excited and proud of himself. I am so proud of him.

Lula, Lilly went to FIT after she did not pass her PFA running. She did make it but it took a month. Longest month of my life. It make childbirth easy!

Alex's Mom, Glad to hear that you heart from him and amazing he could cut time while in pain! Wow no doubt he will do it!

Good morning. I finally got a letter from Alex. He shaved off a minute on his time, but is still in a lot of pain. He said if the pain continues then they are going to send him for x-rays.

The Ship lost their privileges when the RDC's found 2 boxes of candy hidden behind a wall in the bathroom. No one is admitting to it.

so sorry! you have every right to scold that boy when you see him next! he is doing fine. they have a semi boring time there, but they aren't forgotten. they exercise, they sit around chatting, they clean, they do watch. they have rdc mentors who talk to them about navy life and what they wish they knew when they
