Hi
I am new in this group I got a call from my daughter on Monday saying that she did not pass her PFA and that she was going to re take it on Wednesday her PIR was for today 1/9/15 but I haven't hear from her I'm worry not to know what's going on exactly because her call from Monday was to short that I did not had a chance to ask her any details

No call today :(
This is killing me I wish I just knew how she was doing and I'm hoping she's not too down. I wish the mail would move faster!

calls home only come with good behavior. let us know if you get the call today! if she passes, and if there is a bs Wed or Thurs she will still be at graduation. good luck! and yes, If a tto is called, no one gets a time that day. but they aren't called that often, thankfully.

Sammy - Her PIR was set for this Friday the 9th. I will definitely continue to send her letters of encouragement everyday. I don't want her to think that anyone here at home is disappointed. I could hear the tears in her voice when she called. It was heartbreaking.

In her last letter she said she was 36 seconds short. I don't know about recently because the phone call was only a minute long :( She said she's retaking it tomorrow so I'm praying for her to pass! I want to get that call!

What do you mean unless someone messed up? Messed up how? Do you mean a TTO? Also does a training time out void the whole PFA? Does that mean if someone calls a TTO that the test is over for the day and she has to retake it next time?

welcome. they test for the run every other day. so usually 3 times, 2 for holiday weeks. they test 10 times. they call home every other weekend unless someone messed up. they call after passing their pfa, before battle stations. most will pass, keep writing. use existing address and say (now in fit) after the address, until you get her new address.
when is her pir and was she able to say how many seconds she has to make up?

Hi all, I got the call yesterday evening :( It was so short. My recruit did not pass her PFA and she told me not to attend PIR this Friday (1/9/15) She sounded so heart broken! What can I expect next? How many times a week does she get to retake her PFA? I'm assuming she's in FIT. What can I do? I feel so helpless :(

My son was only in FIT for a week, but the lack of communication was excruciating. I was wound up when he finally called to tell me he passed his run I exploded in tears and sobbed uncontrollably. Since he was on speaker phone (ugh), I made the Yeoman cry too. Not my best moment. From what information I have gathered from him, they treat them pretty well in FIT.They have very light duty and have a lot of down time. They'll make it, no worries.
