We are praying for the best but if he don't pass he will not have to play in the band But we are hoping and praying that he does pass

It is ok to get it out. I was the same way. Like JonJon said the recruiters will do everything that they can for him because they don't want them to fail We are praying

Still waiting for the "I passed" call...as I sit here at the I can here the tick-tock of the clock...I really never knew how loud and how slow time moves. I have prayed over my son and I have surrendered all to God. What hurts so much is how hard my son strived to get where he is and then to be days away from PIR...to hear how sad he sounded and I not be able to talk to him just about kills me. My heart aches so much its any wonder it is still beating. I wish there was a way to just reach out and hug him. I know he will pass but for his sake I pray it is in time for PIR.
What I wonder is if he was in the band will he still need to perform? If so that is just like salt on a wound. I hope that is not so.
Sorry for the long post..just have to release my emotions somehow.

Bluediamond we drove 5hours into our 12 hour drive for pit and spent @ he night waiting for news. All I could do was sob. When we didn't get the "I passed" call and we had to turn around and come home I was hysterically crying. I had to call the navy lodge to cancel and sobbed thru the phone call and the lady there even understood and was so comforting. So you are not alone.

Jon-jons mom ...thank you. It means the world to me to know others are praying along with me.It really helps when someone truly understands. Yesterday I actually felt sick for the rest of the day and I could not stop crying...even got a headache along with the biggest heartache ever...knowing how sad my son sounded and I could not be there to hug it away. Thank you so much for your prayers...today I feel better. A new day a new chance!

So sorry you had to get that dreaded call bluediamond. My son was in fit for not passing the run. It took him 7 additional tries but he finally passed. The petty officers in fit are great. They really care about our kids. So hang in there and we'll all be praying for you and your son.
