Hi All, Does anyone know what happens to SR when in the Fit division due to failing swim test? Do they just have him learn how to swim everyday or does he have to train the same as everyone else? Thanks.

It’s 4:30 Chicago time and I haven’t heard from my SR — so either he didn’t pass or he hasn’t been allowed to call yet...gosh, this waiting game is tough!

HiMomOf4,

I will be praying for your son, 20 seconds is nothing. HE CAN DO THIS!!  When I finally got to talk to my son this past Friday, he said his RDC ran with him- They will help him pass and he will become a sailor- keep the faith and light up a blue candle if possible for him- I believe their tests are at around 4:00 AM.

Keep us posted!

Phew! heard from my SR today and got the whole story from him. His spirits are good and he will retest the run in Wednesday - he only needs to shave 20 seconds off his time and he said he’s been working on it everyday and is confident he will pass. Puts this momma’s heart at ease to hear from him ❤️

His graduation date has already passed :-( so he will just be passing the PFA, doing battlestations, then going to A school. We haven’t heard from him since the call on tues 10/3....

Momof4

don't change your travel plans yet. He will be given a chance to try to get with his regular division. That is a heat-breaking call that stuns you at first...but fight back. The devil is a liar. He didn't come this far not to make it. His run will be successful.

My granddaughter went through this and she was allowed to call after she passed the run. She then called with the I am a Sailor call. Praying that your SR will have the stamina, endurance, peace to pass this last run. It is so stressful to them. Praying for everyone involved in this run. she went to FIT on Thursday but passed the test on Monday and was put back in her regular Division.

Tell him to eat bananas for potassium, plenty of water and Powerade and keep running even when his muscles burn. A school will e much better.

My SR was placed in a FIT division because he failed the run in his final PFA. Does anyone know if my SR will call after he passes his run or will he not call until after battlestations?

Hello Momof4. I will be Praying that your Son will be encouraged by the thought of knowing how much you love him and care for him. I went through the same thing with my Son 6 days before his PIR. That was the worst phone call ever. But..... I picked up the pieces and prayed harder than ever. I told my Son to continue to give it all he had. Just because he was delayed did not mean he was being denied. I got my Son's new address and I wrote him everyday and guess what??? He wasn't even there long enough to receive all the letters because after a few days he passed!!! Tell him to keep going!!!! They will help him pass.  Please write to him as soon as you get his new address. I will be praying for you both.

Navmom - thank you for the encouragement. My husband got the call and I wasn’t there so the questions I would have asked my son Willey unanswered for now. I’ll contniue to encourage him. It’s tough to get that call just a few days before PIR....
