I think the Bush administration set on those people, made their lives hell. I mean, this is the administration that outed a CIA agent, they had no qualms about threatening people, removing them from their jobs, whatever it took to cover up tall the crap they were pulling and the stories they wanted promoted took precedence over the actual truth.

Steve, I think that's what the troublemakers want, for the Obama administration to be busy playing "defense' to the ridiculous claims by these loudmouths, instead of leading the US into the future, back to being a respected leader in the world. I like the career diplomats speaking up, telling it like it is, it's a point made by Sec of State Clinton, the knowledge and the experience of these career public service Americans COUNT and needs to be respected and used by the President and all Americans.

Brennen said this same thing on MTP..this is a career diplomat, the ones that Bush and Cheney ignored when they went to Iraq based on their lies and manipulations. These are the people that know how to protect the USA, not a war monger lying sob like Cheney. I hope more career diplomats and those in the diplomatic corp and Pentagon service corp speak up to let the American people know that Cheney and his mouthpieces are just plain wrong..and were 9 years ago as well. Idiots! .I think ol Cheney oughta keep talking, he looks more and more foolish every single time he opens his mouth!!

Lord knows we don't want to work WITH our allies in the world to remain safe, as well as help other countries remain safe by sharing information on al queda, and other terrorists. Good grief.

You know, McNavy, I don't know that these folks with so much hate in their hearts and comments really are so much angry at individual Democrats, but still just sore losers and just can't accept that their control has ended. The ultimate control freaks. I have a high school friend whose sister lives up in Montana. The week before Christmas, the sister informed my friend and her other family members, including her own elderly mother, that if they showed up at her door, she would shoot them. I kid you not. She would shoot them because they are Democrats. That's her reasoning. Brain washed comes to mind, sitting there listening to these folks like Rush and Beck and Cheney who are just so wrong in their vile talk. Just wrong. Politics by division is going to backfire and that will be the destruction of this country, it will be at the feet of the far right wing pushing these hateful lies and action.

WH response to loudmouth idiot EX VP.

"To put it simply: this President is not interested in bellicose rhetoric, he is focused on action," Pffiefer writes. "Seven years of bellicose rhetoric failed to reduce the threat from al Qaeda and succeeded in dividing this country. And it seems strangely off-key now, at a time when our country is under attack, for the architect of those policies to be attacking the President."

"The difference is this: President Obama doesn't need to beat his chest to prove it, and – unlike the last Administration – we are not at war with a tactic ("terrorism"), we at war with something that is tangible: al Qaeda and its violent extremist allies. And we will prosecute that war as long as the American people are endangered."

Story

A Republican businessman running for governor next year blasted West Michigan Congressman Pete Hoekstra for mentioning the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack at Detroit Metro Airport to solicit political donations. Hoekstra is also a Republican candidate for governor next year. One of his opponents, Rick Snyder, said Hoekstra inappropriately used the attempted attack to raise money for his campaign. On Monday, Hoekstra sent out a fundraising letter that talks about the incident aboard Flight 253 and states that his job as governor would be to protect Michigan families. The letter goes on to ask supporters to donate between $25 and $250. Snyder says the letter crossed the line and showed poor judgment.

An Adult reaction not one that scares more Americans...but of course, the President isn't trying to make money off of the Christmas Day idiot on that plane...but the GOP is. Pitiful. Just pitiful. And it took Bush 7 days to respond to that shoebomber, but it doesn't stop Cheney and the bozos from complaining about Obama's faster response. Good grief. No wonder the President is the most popular man in America...must be jealousy guiding the repubs...ha!!
