I agree with many, maybe not all. I do like the idea of a community health care center. We have all these medics and corpsmen that leave the military fully trained in so many medical tech fields. Put them to work! small clinics, open 7am-7pm 7 days a week. Empty the ERs of non emergency cases, these corpmen know how to triage, let them do it. Give the shots, the exams, work with PA's and doctors, it's a great deal! One right up there by the grocery store on the corner....

I think we need to start focusing on what IS in it instead of what is not, at the moment, in it. Baby steps. start someplace! Social Security had to be built along the way as well.

Can you believe that idiot McConnell going off that the Democrats are "sneaking" a health care bill in a week before Christmas? and after all Nelson held it up for his abortion issues ( which, by the way, is still legal last I looked. Fight abortion in the courts but stay the hell out of my doctor's accounting office, thank you very much!) , all McConnell can do is recite the lying talking points of the GOP party of NO!!

as the bumper sticker read the other day: OMG GOP WTF

"...freedom isn't free. It shouldn't be a bragging point that "Oh, I don't get involved in politics", as if that makes you somehow cleaner. No, that makes you derelict of duty in a republic. Liars & panderers in government would have a much harder time of it if so many people didn't insist on their right to remain ignorant & blindly agreeable." ~ Bill Maher

Liberman just makes ya want to smack him, doesn't he? he's so deep in the pockets of the insurance lobby he doesn't even pretend to care about Americans without health care. I can't watch him, sorry, Inga! my stomach isn't up to that yet!

Did you see the Oprah interview of the President and the First Lady? and Bo? great stuff! what a wonderful family to live in our historic White House!!

Not me! I think they prefer happily married women there, not Bored, Broke And Lonely, (as in single!) aka BLAB folks like Amanda, Inga and me!! They tossed us! their leaders do not approve of us, we're a little too outspoken, not so much peace/love/bendover so the Repubs will love us type. Too much "vitriol" I think the word was....

So, check with the "other" liberal group, I think they are all on the approved list for over there. We accept all liberals and moderates, even happily married ones, on this Futtlebutt!

Kelly...that's how it gets on boards, we have many N4M moms that find it hysterically funny to post ugly photos of the President ( and I'm afraid Bush's monkey likeness was too good to pass up for me!) and write how they want him to fail. Fail? our kid's commander in chief? Failure means more dead military members. More people on the streets losing their homes, more people without proper health care...fail? how American is that?

I'm trying to remember that LBJ quote...that put his party last, an American before it...

Yes, it's hard to keep quiet when those out and out lies are posted, particularly concerning the religion of a sitting President. And yes, if one doesn't speak up about it, then those spreading those lies (accidently or otherwise!) truly believe it's true and others agree. The Muslim one is particularly insidious to me, because number one, what difference does it make what faith a President is? He's secular leader, not our religious leader. Second, that tone makes it sound so mean, so discriminatory against that one faith...there are millions and millions of good Muslims in the world, it's the radicals of any religion that kill in the name of religious faith that are the evil people to be hunted down.
