Kelly, I agree, I was so proud of our President for that speech ( altho technically, the receipent of an award gives a "lecture", I didn't realize there was much of a difference). I think we all want PEACE, but in the real world it has to be earned many times with war, I like that he reminded all of that, and made it clear he will take whatever steps needed to insure peace. He is a much more humble man than our previous President, not to mention more in tune with the world and world views, and how they affect the USA.
Even Republicans like Gingich applauded this speech, but that just makes me nervous, I keep seeing a plot when they all are nice about anything our President does or says. Glad he's headed back to handle the health care legislation in person!

Just got my call from AARP to dial 1 and tell Cornyn to vote "yes" on getting rid of the medicare donut hole...like that will do anything, the guy answering the phone sounded a little frazzeled, guess I wasn't the only one!

You're right, it could help MMK, if she's old enough...good news! they say it's set up to start in 2010.

It's a start, Inga...and it's really, really good for me!! I can't believe it! this is life changing for many of us just barely holding on to health insurance and those without! I know so many people in that age bracket with no insurance, especially after all the layoffs. I read the other day that the age bracket of Americans over 50 has the highest chances of having no health insurance.
