Did anyone else watch Hardball tonight? catch it when if it runs again in your area...that "nutcase" woman waving around her birth certificate and shouting at that poor Congressman on the podium that she was an American citizen and blah, blah, blah....the poor man asked if her question was in reference to the President? and she went ballistic...Then Matthews had on a Republican senator on who is cosponsoring something about birth certificates for Presidents...and I swear, he almost had that man in tears. Finally made him say the words "yes the President is a citizen and our legal President"...Matthews had a copy of President Obama's Birth certificate....and made the man look at it. It was almost pitiful...but funny...and good grief, those freakin' nutcases going off on the birth certificate and "we want our country back" are either the biggest control freaks and sore losers in the world...or maybe simply, racist. jmho.

I woke up this morning thinking about the soldier in the hands of the Taliban...actually his mother. How does she get out of bed in the mornings? or does she sleep at all? God bless her, give her strength to face the day, and please, dear Lord, her son home with her, safe.

Those brutal war zones. Our moms with kids there, remember you are not alone. We're thinking the same things you are, and we're praying, too.

What others think of me is none of my business, anyway.

I love that, Barb! and it's what I've tried to do the last few months on this board...I guess that's why the focus is now on my family, to "get" to me.

that much hate in one's life is amazing...

That is my fear, sailors who are "accused", whether the allegations are true or false, could be in serious danger. It is far too dangerous to be gay or accused of being gay in the military at this point in time.

A sailor murdered in Camp Pendleton because he was gay..was he? or did he speak up for the unpopular? did he make some hate filled mind go into overtime and spread lies and rumors, and fire up someone raised in that hate to do the dirty work of killing him? It will be interesting to find out.

Expansion of federal Hate crimes law

I'll have to read more about it, but it sounds good to me. Want to know what exactly determines what is and what isn't...

I am so scared for this young soldier...he's got to be petrified. Hope he remembers his training, and keeps calm. God Bless Him tonight.

I tried not to say I missed him until the very end of phone calls...I did a video of little rosie on a walk...including the sniffs, pees and poops...right down the street, chatting..."look, Kathy painted her house...and theres Jericho looking out the fence"....and you could hear Rosie's little feet ..plop, plop, plop.. I never realized how many flags were out in our neighborhood until I looked at that video. He loved it! It was short..but it was home.

I turned into a stalker plain and simple... I always send him messages so when he can get online he has something there waiting for him.. new pics of his beloved dog Jazmine or a new video of her.. If the family gets together I do a short video on my cell of everyone saying hi and they miss him and love him.. although sometimes I am not sure if I should because I dont want him getting homesick worse than I am sure he is.. but then I dont want him to think the family forgot him either.. I know he enjoys them though he always messages me and tells me..
