Hi Ladies, Well, I counted about 10 big, fat snowflakes falling this morning. What a record!

FYI The U.S. Navy Concert Band is doing it's 2010 Spring Tour here in the south. They will be playing in the following GA towns this week: 3/22 Evans/Martinez, 3/23 Athens, 3/24 Kennesaw State University, 3/25 Atlanta. Concerts are free, but you must call ahead for tickets. My husband and I are hoping to the 3/24 concert at KSU providing we can get tickets with the ticket office opens tomorrow (boxoffice@kennesaw.edu or 770-423-6650, 11a-5p). Let me know if anyone else decides to attend so that we might meet up. For more info:

Good morning ladies...I have not heard about snow but I wish we could wind the clock back to yesterday's beautiful weather. Not a fan of his cold, gloomy rainy weather we are seeing today.

Wade142...we will be thinking of you tomorrow, tell your daughter we are wishing her well.

It was a beautiful day today. We attended a Pirates and Princess birthday party for our oldest granddaughter (3 yrs.) today. Then when we got back home and checked the mail, we had pictures of our Seabee son in CA with their 3 month old daughter.

Hello Spring!!!
Hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this beautiful day!

Sailordawgmom -- when our kids and hubby got their wisdom teeth pulled the doctor gave them a coupon for free Smoothie King ---- that took a lot of the sting out of the recovery.

Mary and Barbara J. Thanks for your wishes on Chris's behalf. Actually, he is out on the USS Stennis for his quals! He flew out yesterday got 5 "traps" and "takeoffs" before he had some malfunction that had him flying back to San Diego for repairs. He's supposed to go back out today through Sat. or Sun. to complete his quals.
Best to everyone and prayers for all our children proudly serving our country.

Diane, we will keep your son in our prayers; our son will be heading towards his first deployment soon as well.

Thanks Mary, lovely words. I'm praying for my son who is doing his carrier qualifications on his jet today through the weekend. Day AND night landings. I saw the video when he did his trainer jet (days only) and it is scary... Once he finishes this qual, he will shortly thereafter go on his first deployment.

Peace and prayers to everyone on this St. Patty's Day!

Good morning ladies and Happy St. Pattty's Day to you.

Wanda - stop in often and keep us update to on Josh. Ashleigh's beau heads back to Iraq on Tuesday and found out last night my nephew will be heading to A 'stan in the fall. He is a Seabee reserve and that will be his first deployment and he has been in for two years now.

"Borrowed" this from one of my other groups and liked the message and wanted to share...

The young sailor at sea was ordered to climb a mast to adjust a sail during a violent storm. He got halfway up, looked down, got dizzy and sick. An old sailor on deck shouted up to him Look up, son, look up. Young sailor looked up, regained his composure, and completed his mission.

Moral: Look ahead, not back.”

wade152...so you're going to have a Hunter! My 5-year old grandson (with his mom and dad) moved into our home. It is such a pleasure to have him. His name is Hunter James! And, yes, our neighborhood is having a yard sale in May, what goes...good...what doesn't goes into the trash!

Lynn congratulations on your new grandson next month. Spain is such a beautiful place. Took my first trip there speaking at a conference. Brought my family along (including my sailor son then age 11) and we have wonderful memories of our travels.
