OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Dona, I hope your hubby does well.  Hopefully we can meet up some other time.

Well, ladies, I hate to miss this one as we live in Douglasville! Hubby is having surgery so I regret that we will have to miss meeting/seeing you all, esp. ladyayp and wmiranda since you live so near. I know you will all have a great time as usual!

Hey everybody, I just had a thought - if everyone will come with the mailing address for their sailor I will be glad to pick up some Thanksgiving cards and maybe we could all sign all of them and add our sailors station, address or whatever a parent wants to share. We could officially sign it GA Navy Moms and a Few Dads. Might show that we can begin to have a cohesive support group from around the Atlanta area. Wondering about how many cards to purchase?? What do you think?  Or we could write out each one's information to share one time and then I could just make an insert copy to put in each card.
