OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Southern California Moms of Helo Pilots is a Group with 4 members.  It is the only helo specific group I have found on navyformoms.  I want to invite ANY helo related moms to join the group, rather than try to start something new.  I keep looking for ways to connect here.  I am not a big Facebook fan...  My son is currently in SD but we will see if he stays or goes on by summer, I think.  Thank you!

Our son is in SD as well.  He will be there for another 2.5-3 years.  He currently is instructing the new helo pilots. Thank you for reaching out.

Thank you. I will be looking for you in the SoCal Moms of Helo Pilots Group.

My son is in a FRS in San Diego. I’d love to join. He loves  it there!

I am still working on the acronyms.  It sounds like your sons are some of the more experienced ones.  I have seen your posts in the past, Glenni.  I will be looking for you in the SoCal Moms of Helo Pilots Group. Thank you.

FRS is Fleet Replacement Squadron- it’s where they go after they wing to learn how to fly their particular helo.
