I wanted to let all you ladies know about a really amazing eduation/career opportunity for spouses! There are two programs, one for pharmacy tech and the other for medical admin (includes billing and coding). Now, if you've never used MYCAA before (it's an educational grant program run by the DOD to give spouses up to $4,000 for certain approved programs), then you can take advantage of these AT NO COST TO YOU! They send you all your video lectures on dvd and include instructions to upload them to your own media device (ie itouch, cellphone, e-reader, etc..) for ultimate portablity. They also send all your books to you and even if you write in them, can send them back when you're finished for free (but you can decide to keep them for only $75)!! Both programs are self paced, but designed around a 6 month time frame. It's awesome that even in as little as 3 months we can have CAREERS that are portable and in demand! Let me know if anyone is interested in more info! My email is hendley.ashia@yahoo.com    :D

Hi! I've signed up for MYCAA but haven't used it yet. Is this program something you can do along with using the $4,000 or instead of? I got financial aid from FASFA for this coming year, so I know I can't use the MYCAA along with that, but
I would like more information on the medical admin program.

I'm not sure I understand your question exactly. If you want, either post your email address, or you can email me at hendley.ashia@yahoo.com and I will get you in touch with the mycaa rep that helped me out so much. He will be able to answer all your questions, even help you enroll if you decide to do it :)

this sounds awesome!

Please feel free to email me at hendley.ashia@yahoo.com !!

Hey I signed up for the MYCAA and they are paying for my online associates degree in medical assisting through Centura College.  Its really easy to use I also have financial aid through FASFA as well.. The MYCAA consultant told me that I cannot use both for the same class.  Since each class for my program is 5 weeks long I will be having MYCAA pay for the first class then the FASFA pay for the next and just keep going back in forth until Ive used all the MYCAA grant.  I love that they give military wives an opportunity to expand their education with the military members.
My Caa im going to use that money toward the Nursing Program, it wont pay for all of it but it will help out a lot
You really don't need to go to school for pharmacy tech, most pharmacies will do on the job training. It varies by state I think but I got my training at my pharmacy and I'm a certified technician now :)
