Hello ladies! I just wanted to reach out to anybody who had a recruit leave on the same date! I could really use somebody to count the days down with that understands the struggle! Anyone get a box or PIR date yet or address? I know all of this comes at once, but I kinda think his PIR date will be 2/7/14 I hope that is correct atleast. I'm fairly new to all of this I'm flooding my brain with info to help with the worry. Is it too early for phone calls? I know he wont be able to write until next Sunday probably. I began writing letters yesterday. Any advice or conversation would be great!

I'm making it through okay! I check my countdown at night, always after 12. Nights are my harder times. Did you get any letters? I hope another phone call is sooner, so many have gotten atleast 2 by now. Maybe it goes by division. I miss him a lot. I send him letters every other day, even if he cant respond it makes me feel a little better that I know he's reading mine.
Yes I finally got home from vacation and a bunch of letters waiting for me. He also called me today! So hopefully you got or get a call. He told me that they get mail monday through friday but they only have 15 minutes to write letters everyday and they only get sent on sundays. Im sure he is loving the letters because they are a huge morale boost.
That's great! I did get a call, but it was from another SR saying my boyfriend had pink eye and wasn't able to call. Then I found out he also had his wisdom teeth removed over the weekend so I'm sure he's still on SIQ. I'm really looking forward to some letters later this week the worry is running me crazy lol. How did your SR sound?
My fiancé left on the 11th too. It's been SO hard, as I'm sure you know. But, we are half way done!! I have just been telling him what is going on at home and I've been avoiding telling him how hard it's been. He needs support, not to be thinking about my crying and what not. We also decided that we weren't going to say "I Miss You" because, it's obvious that we do. Why bring it up? It only makes for some awkward conversations, especially in person. We did long distance from July-December of 2012, so I know a few tricks. Be prepared for when you see him to be exciting, but a bit awkward. After being apart for so long, you kind of forget how they operate and it's like going on a first date again. But, after a few hours, it usually wears off. Good luck, and let me know if you need someone to talk to!
My boyfriend left on December 10th! I have heard his voice once so far and that was during the halfway point. It made me feel a lot better. I told him I am going to his graduation and he was so happy! February 7th needs to come fast! I have a countdown on my whiteboard at school. <3 I have been sending him letters everyday because it has been my winter break. I have been drawing him pictures ( even though I am no artist) I just know they will make him smile. This wasn't a huge change for us though. I left for school in August so we had to go through long distance for 4 months. It is nice having other people to talk to about this. Military relationships are different; no one can really understand unless they are experiencing it themselves.
I hope you are holding up okay! :)
