They have to put him stateside 30 days prior to his retirement, he can put in to take his leave before he retires. So if his last day in the Navy is 30 June and he has 30 days of leave, plus the 20 days of house hunting and job hunting (10 days each), he could be done with the Navy May 12th. Also with a retirement they will pay to move him anywhere in the USA (CONUS) one time, with in one year of his retirement
thanks angie. he joinied august 28 1993 and he is due to start life again sept 28. of this year does that mean then he will be here in aug? or will he be in another state.. this is all new to me as well as my boyfriend.. just cant wait to see him again and hope these last few monthsgo bye quickly
He needs to talk to his CCC (They wear the cookie like in my picture) between them and the admin people they set up everything for him (BUT he has to go see about it happening). They will ship him to a Navy base to out process, though he can request a base near where he wants to retire they don't have to approve that. Most likely it will be either Seattle or San Diego.
