Hi everyone,

My boyfriend left for bootcamp on april 5th, 4 days ago and i write him a letter every day but they all just look soo boring. We are a fun couple and we are always laughing and making jokes so seeing black or blue ink on a plain white piece of paper just seems so boring and so not like us! I want to send him fun things that he will laugh and get a big smile on his face when he sees but i cant think of anything! Any one have any ideas on how to spice up my letters?

Oh and one thing i thought of was to send his letters in bright colored envelopes... sound like a good idea?

A LOT of people will tell you no don't send bright colored envelopes...

I did. He didn't get any crap for it.. The only crap he got was for the amount of letters he got because everyone was jealous.

I bought the colorful stuff from walmart (I cleared it with him before he left and told him I would switch anytime he needs me to).

You can send pictures (clean). And jokes. I handmade him a valentine. :)

Ihave been taking pictures of EVERYTHING and it hasent even been a week yet. Weather it be weird clouds or me and our friends goofing around i take a bunch! lol so i will definitely be sending him pictures.  Im glad to hear that he didnt get any crap for it. B told me before he left that he didnt really want bright envelopes but like i said we have a strange fun relationship and he is my best friend so im going to do it anyway! thanks for the advice.

Insted of a home made valentine do you have any ideas for a birthday card? his birthday is in a few weeks :(

I used this website: http://robertsabuda.com/popmake/index.asp

my fiance isn't in boot camp (he's been in 3 years already), but I mailed the pop up cake one to him for his birthday since he's on deployment. I added like colorful scrapbook paper to it so it wasn't so plain, but you could just use markers.

that looks perfect im so going to use that! Thanks a bunch
I send my boyfriend goofy cards from the store! But I think it really depends on what division your boyfriend is in if he will get crap for having like colorful envelopes. My SR is in SpecOps so I wouldn't dare send him a colorful one envelope! Lol
what do you mean his division? he is a nuke... does that mean anything? lol
Well if he is a nuke I do believe thats SpecOps..I could be wrong. Its any of the 800 divisions! Its like the "high security" jobs. You will find out his division and ship number in like a week!

Nukes aren't generally SpecOps.

A lot of Nukes get put in 900 divisions. And a lot are just in the regular divisions. :)

Cait- I'm a Nuke girlfriend. If you ever have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me. :)

Thanks for clearing it up!
Np. I'm not saying that Nukes aren't ever put in SpecOps group... Anything can happen, right!?
Haha very true! I thought I had read it somewhere but I might have read something else and combined the two!
thanks guys! and emily i might have to take you up on that offer!
