So my fiancee and I will be getting married in PCB as soon as he gets down there and gets his chit approved....so he has asked me to look up everything we need to know about getting married by the JOP there. Well I read that there is a 3 day waiting period UNLESS you take the marriage class. But that is 1 hour a week for 4 weeks...Well I live in Dallas and that's just not possible. But I also read online that sometimes they waive that waiting period for military couples...so I was wondering if any of you ladies knew if they do that in PCB????

Money wise it isn't possible for me to come down for more than a weekend :(

I am really wishing I knew some people who I could possibly bum a couch from for a few days! Lol.

So if anyone knows anything or  can help in any possible way that would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance from my sailor and I!

Try couchsurfing.com to bum a couch.  Really, people open their homes to travelers for free.  It could work.

In P-cola, they waive the three day wait for military.  Call the county clerk and ask their policy.

There is a three day waiting period only if you are a Florida resident.

I got married down in Pcola, we got everything done in one day. There is no wait period unless one of you are FL resident, if neither of you are then you are golden. You can get the info off google for whatever county you are going to get it done in. We did it in Escambia county (which is Pensacola) here is there site but I am sure you can do it in other counties as well. Just figure out what county PCB is in and look up there site for the clerks office/courthouse. hope this helps.

oh also when we went there is a little booklet they want you to read to get married in FL you can get it online and look at it and read it so you can say you did but honestly its mostly like have you talked about kids, finances, what can cause divorce, and things hopefully you have already discussed with your future spouse if you have gotten to this point.

Thank everyone!
