ok ladies. I need some help.. Anti M, Angie if you two ladies are around I would love your opinion. Ok my husbands ship is deploying soon and so that means the whole ship gets their PALM period. My husband put in for the 2nd of the 2 he was the first person in his dept to put in and when it came down to time to start approving them he was told he didnt even put one in. Come to find out they had lost his and filled the leave period he requested. But they said since the date on his request was before anyone else's and he did everything he was supposed to they would try to let him still take that leave time. Well I have been bugging him to bug them abt it bc he forgets and its been almost a month now. His LPO told him that it was approved 2 weeks ago it just wasnt in writing he was so sure tho he said go ahead and buy your ticket (which I refused) then today he went in and they said yes its approved here is the chit saying yes but they wouldnt let him have an official Copy? well they let him make a copy of it but said it was not the official one but he is approved... what do I do?? the ticket will be for like 2-3 days after thanksgiving so the longer we wait the pricier it is! Any thoughts?

Also what airlines are cheapest, if I say called and said he is active duty military? When we pushed his flight back the day of southwest gave us a discount bc he was active duty so I was jw thanks ladies!

I've never run into this, but is he's seen a copy, then go ahead and but a ticket.  You can find online deals, military discounts are NOT always the cheapest ticket.  Southwest does a refundable ticket, most other airlines do not.  You can buy travel insurance.
Yep...if he has seen it I would get the tickets.  He won't get the offical copy until he checks out on leave.
Thank you Ladies! :) I just wanted to double check!!! Woohooo now on to find a cheap ticket!
