For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Marriage license HAAALLLLPPPP!
Hey Ladies,
So My SR left on Dec 4th and he calls a few days later needed me to fax our marriage license.so I did. He then calls back and says that's not it. They told him it wouldn't have any writing on it (uh what?) . We live in Virginia and they give you two things: a yellow tanish certified copy and a more decorative certificate. So now I am sending it to him certified mail. which one do they need and how will this affect his pay and benefits. (its not my main focus but I return to school Jan 7th so I want all my ducks in a row if you will). I am frustrated because our civil court says that is what they need but the Navy told my SR that its not.
Confused.

My husband and I got married in Virginia
as well but we had received a white paper than had my information at the top and his at the bottom and it had a stamp at the bottom. Did yall get married in Norfolk? -

we got married in fredericksburg. It has my info up top and his on the bottom. It has a seal at the bottom also. Its just indented into the paper. Its not on regular paper either its like harder.
