Hi my name is Kandie and my boyfriend of 3 months recently left to BUDS. I am 18 and we have known each other since middle school. We knew everything about each other, soon enough i realized i had a crush on him. We separated when we went to high school and right after graduating we talked more. He told me he was joining the navy and was going to basic training soon. I did not think of it as much since he was only my friend. I was sad that he was leaving but i was more pre-occupied with college. He left in July or August i believe and came back in September. he knew i liked him since middle school, and he confessed that while he was at basic training he came to the conclusion that he liked me as well and wanted a relationship. We began dating, i can say i really care about him. He recently just left to BUDS since hes training to become a Navy Seal a dream of his. I support him 100% but its kinds hard since i got so use to him always being around. He left last week and i still haven't had any contact with him. I have no idea why. I know he has his phone with him and its on since i tried calling. I just wanted to make some friend or get advice on how military relationships are. Or if someone has gone through a spouse/boyfriend being in BUDS. I would love to hear stories, experiences or  any advice, Thank you (:

If he is going SEALS, get used to no contact.  They train hard, especially at first, sometimes for days on end.  Leave him positive messages, and write, just as you did when he was in boot camp.  When he can call, you can ask him what to expect concerning communications.  There is some pressure for him to stay single, so you might have to wait out that phase.

Yes i try to be as supportive as I can be. Stay single? I have heard stories about them being able to use their computer and cell phone and having weekends off. I'm not sure about this tho, he never mentioned it. Thanks for the advice (:
