Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Tri-care Registration
Hey guys I have a quick question about Tricare. My husband just left for bootcamp a month ago. I received back all the paperwork and got my military ID and everything. Does this mean that I am officially and completely enrolled in Tricare or do I need to call the hospital and do more paperwork for it? Basically, if I walked in the hospital today (not that I need to), would I be able to be seen or is there more I need to do? Is dental also covered in Tricare or is there a separate Tricare dental plan? If anyone knows please let me know, thanks!!

As long as you're in DEERS, you're enrolled (if you have your ID, you're in DEERS). I'd you didn't select Prime Coverage you are auto enrolled in Standard. Prime is when you are seen by military doctors and at military facilities. Standard is when you can choose your own providers but there is a cost. (No cost for prime )
Visit the TRICARE website to find providers and locations. Also you can find more details about both Standard and Prime & decide if you would prefer to be enrolled in Prime. You can enroll in Prime on the website.
Dental is extra and you have to enroll separately. It's like $11 a month for one dependent - it automatically comes out of your husbands paycheck. The form to enroll for that is also found on the TRICARE website. Dental coverage is through MetLife. -
