anna- i think the navy life has its challenges for sure, but i do feel it is worth while :) I feel it has taught me so much about myself, it has given me patience, trust, and allowed me to strengthen my relationship with my boyfriend. Im not saying learning any of those things were easy, because they weren't, and i still have SO much to learn, but the way i feel when i get a letter, text, phone call, or even better get to see my love is amazing. I feel that love will always have its challenges whether you are in a military relationship or a civilian one. Hang in there and try to remember that you will be with him again and you supporting him is a hard but very fulfilling job :) this site helped me through bootcamp so much, i dont know how i would have done it without all the people on here! feel free to pm me!

Stephanie: I know where you are coming from about the parents freaking out. My fiance and I would prefer to get married when he is finished from his A school, but our parents are pretty against it. We just don't really know when he will be back for sure after that. My mom is still getting used to the idea of me even being engaged to him.

But yeah, I always read his letters, all 40+ of them, whenever I am feeling extremely lonely. It makes me feel much better about everything, knowing he thinks about me and cares for me quite a bit!

I hope so. Thanks that means alot. It seems everyone is happy for me except my parents. I know the feeling of listening to voicemail. I read more of his old text messages. They were the cutest and reminded me of how much he loved me. This weekend my fiancee made me a build a bear. They have where you can have a recording inside and he made his own recording. I think I have pushed the bears foot like a 100 times already to hear his voice..lol

today is a bad day. all i want is to hear his voice. ive listened to the voicemail he left on 4/20 right before he packed up his cell phone so many times. its not working today. send hugs ladies. i need them.

Yes, very lucky. Thanks so much. Nope but, were looking at October. The weather is beautiful then here in Florida. But, still not sure. He says it didn't matter when we got married to him as long as I was his wife. He said he wanted to get married over the weekend up there but, my parents and everyone would have freaked. They freaked when I got engaged too.

so his mom didnt get a box (as she would get it since i live in canada) however we got his PIR date and address so I can start writing him! and His graduation is the 25th.. h e is division 226! I am glad its sooner then I thought!

Hi everybody! I just joined this group. My fiance just graduated from boot camp is on his way to Baltimore right now. I'm so proud of him, and to be honest, it feels like this has been good for us. This has strengthened our bond. :)
