I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

Navywife72- you can pretty much take whatever you want for him to have while he is with you (like phone, ipod, laptop) but if he has to go back at night he cant take it with him :( but once he gets to a school he can have whatever he wants so he can talk to you every day :) PIR is sooooo much fun and once you see him in his uniform you will truly know how proud you are of him and its the best when you see him across the room for the first time :) Have fun!!!!!

navywife72: My hubby called on day 23 of bootcamp, they most always either get a call the 3rd week of training or the 4th week of training! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I know it's tough...hang in there and stay positive for your man! =)

KateG-IFrom my experience so far spend as much time with him as you can! It was hard at first not being able to talk to my bf as much as I could but when he left his mom and I got a lot closer and every couple of days she and I will talk for hours. It's nice!

Mel-Thanks I like Big Bear but the snow storm we just got is not for me! 7 feet at once was not fun! I'm not sure if I'll get the call though. He's only my boyfriend I heard that only parents/spouses were allowed to get the call. But if I do I will be so elated!!!! But if he is allowed a call I want it to go to his mom, she needs to hear his voice more than I do. I can settle with letters for now.

Hi ladies, does anybody know when my fiance might get get his first call he left for bootcamp Jan. 5th? I hope soon I can't wait to to hear his voice ! The letters have been wonderful but hearing his voice would be so much better.

Hi girls. My boyfriend went into bootcamp January 6th. His mom actually just recommended me to this site. It's hard at first...not getting the good morning from him or goodnight, or even just a hello everyonce in awhile. I've written numerous letters to him but i don't believe he's gotten anything yet seeing as he sent one for me to his mom. Leads me to believe that he hasn't gotten mine yet. His mom is kind enough to send it to me.
Anyways I just wanted to say hi, so hi.

Hi ladies well I have received 3 letters from my fiance aka my hubby, but last one he seemed sad he is waiting for a letter from me and I have sent a letter every other day since I got the address. My brother said when he was at bootcamp he would get 6 all at one time. I can't wait til he can call and til PIR .

I wanted to get married on Val-Day, but we were in Vegas on the 9th, so that's the day we got hitched. 23 years next month... if I can do it, you can too!

Also, welcome all new members. If you haven't learned about OPSEC just yet, let us know so we can point you to the best discussions and posts about it. While in school it doesn't matter as much, but better to be up to speed before your sailor hits the fleet.

Hey Karah,
My husband is a nuke. Is your fiance in A school right now or what? My husband graduated from prototype in December and now he is off on the Carl Vinson. Let me know if you have ANY questions :-) (My name is Cantrell by the way).
