There is no way to hurry up the process. The military runs on its own time not anyone else's unfortunately. It's hurry up and wait. I have had friends that have had to wait months for their husband to get orders. Unfortunately all you can do is wait. Honestly the military's priority is never the family. It's always the needs of the navy. The saying goes if the navy wanted the sailor to have a family they would have issued him one with his sea bag. Sorry to hear you are dealing with it. On the plus side it's good practice for deployment.
Unfortunately its the nature of the beast. They will drag their feet getting the money they owe you if they feel like it... but if you owe them money they do not waste a minute taking it back. Even though its usually their mistake in the first place. -_-
Yeah it might mean its getting changed next month. I know sometimes they will make notes about whats going to be adjusted. Does is show BAH on the entitlement section? Is the EOM the normal amount you said?
it says Change BAH with our date (316) and then another line says Correct BAH with our date and (316) so my husband and I had though that it was for this coming pay on the 1st
Whatever his EOM amount shows that is the amount that will be deposited into his account. It wont change between now and then. In the bottom notes does it say anything about BAH? like My husbands says BAH based on w/DEP ZIP 23607. When we moved it would so the change in BAH zip code in the bottom notes. It seems like it will not come until the 15th check. :/ Whatever is on the EOM that is the amount that will be pending for the deposit.
Beachmom- when he went to personnel they told him it would show on december 1st and when i looked at his LES it says at the bottom that it was changed and that it was corrected so who knows maybe it could come in on the 1st.
Rikki ok thank you so much then I will not be counting on any money from him till late December(:
I appreciate Your help.
@Rikki-If they said it will be corrected December 1st, you should receive that in your 15 December paycheck. Any corrections made during November will not appear on November pay...even though sailors get paid on the first, that is for pay for the second half of the previous month. Confusing, I know.
Years ago, payday used to be the 15th and 30th; one year they ran out of money (go figure) and pushed the September 30th payday to October 1st so they could use money from the next fiscal year. Now paydays are always the 1st and the 15th, but you should look at it as the middle of the month and the end of the month. Hope this didn't confuse things more!
