For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

@alexa the same thing happened to me when my husband was in boot camp. I had to send him a copy of my license (real size) so the picture is visable. It was too dark on the one they recruiter took. Then I had to have it signed and stamped by a notary (my bank did it for free) and I sent it to him priority mail.
It took them a while to let him meet with the office to get me in, but he ended up doing it and I got my ID a month before graduation.

He takes the paperwork (marriage license, a copy of your ID and SSN) to Personnel and enrolls you in DEERS/Tricare, and apply for BAH. Then you can get your military ID. You do not need to wait to do the name change first, in fact, that will simply slow things down.
If he's home on leave, use the RAPIDS locator and see if there is a base nearby, he could do it there.

I just got married to my sailor tonight! What are our next steps to getting me in the system and getting the BAH process going? Do I change my name and info with the social security people before doing anything with the name or does it not matter?

I haven't gotten any DEERS forms yet (there was an issue with the copy of my Id) i might just wait till I'm in GL for PIR.

@alexa use the RAPIDS locator, there may be a small facility near you where you can get an ID. You may be surprised at what is nearby!

I believe you can have a parent rent for you and it's $10 to add an under 25 driver. Maybe you could rent a car at home and drive here? When I drove from Georgia, the whole thing cost $300. Gas and car and all, both ways. There are also shuttles and taxis if you want to use them.

I have a question , my husband will be graduating basic sept. 25th I'm flying there and back but I'm only 19 & no one older than 20 is going & I need to rent a car to get place to place , I called and they said you have to be 25 Or older . does anyone have any ideas or know something I don't that could help me out ? Thanks so much

I got mine the week before graduation. If you prefer to wait you can get one at the Great Lakes base, or you can call the number that was sent with your DEERS paperwork and they'll send you to a place near you. There are sites to get an ID in places other than base.

My husband is in his 3rd week of bootcamp. When do yall recommend I get a MIL ID. There isn't many bases near where I live. Should I just wait till we move or maybe get it when I can visit him when he's at A school?
