For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. Comment by Anti M on April 28, 2011 at 8:51pm: They should be able to pack you out and put it in storage until delivery, at least they used to do this. You can talk to the Personal Property Office NOW for a straight answer on current policy (things change all the time).

It would be in their own secure storage facility, maybe or maybe near the final destination, and at their expense. You will have NO access to your things, be wise in your choice of what to pack out. But please, please double check with a phone call (be persistent, and you will need to reference his orders, get a copy). My knowledge is older, so I know it could be different now.

My husband had verbal orders and I was so excited for the big move and to be living with him again... unfortunately I for got the golden rule: THINGS CHANGE!!!

He received his written orders this week and we were both bummed to see that they attachted a C school. He will be in VA until sept. is there any way the navy will move all of our stuff to his duty station and put it in a storage unit? i really want to be closer to him again and im thinking ill only take what fits in my car and move to VA.

has anyone done this before??

BTW I am getting so excited...i move in less than 2 weeks to where I will only be an hour from sailor instead of 8, and finals at my college start monday but I basically am done as of today! Had an easy day at work, got my last paper written, no actual finals either. hooyah last semester of grad school!! just a presentation this monday that is already completed....and 2 weeks from tomorrow my sailor is coming to stay at my new apartment for the weekend. I'm about to face the real world here soon!

ON the bright side he was really excited about shooting a real gun and he said that someone told him his score and he did really well with aim and stuff =D

ALSO -- he asked me to send him newspaper clips of his favorite sports teams but im not all that into sports, idk where to go for the best information to give him .. can anyone help ?
