Navynana...He is staying busy. He told his wife he is pulling a lot of 'watches' which he has to do so many and then take a test. He also got ordrs that he is officially on hold for A school. I was able to learn more about this "hold" on another group talk which was very helpful. My best to you and Your Sailor.

Lonna, my grandson PIR 4/23 is in A School in GL. He was on HOLD also and is now in his 2nd week of school. He was moved once during that time and I believe the 3 other guys he is with now will room together for a while. It seems more permanent than his first situation where he had 2 differnet roomates in one week. They did keep him very busy with cleanup and whatever else. He is now in Phase II so he has more freedom.

Holds are common, they are on hold until a seat opens up in thier A school. Nothing to worry about, they still get paid. And they are given stuff to do.

where can I find a list of rates (job titles)? and salary ranges? is that available? Also, do your sailors use the Navy Credit Union for banking?

Vickyrun, where are you from in California? I'm in Yorba Linda. Weather much nicer here.
