Retired Army Spouse -- "active duty" Navy Gramma.
I need to learn Navy "talk" so I can understand my grandchildren. :)

I vividly remember listening to my first Army sm talking to another Army sm and not having a clue what they were talking about. I feel that way now with the grandchildren.

Anything you can help me with would be appreciated. Is there a Blog about this?

Looks like no one has been in this group for awhile. Are there any grandmas from Texas out there? My grandson leaves for boot camp on July 26th and I am still struggling with the whole thing! He has lived with me for the past year and is only 18 years old so of course I worry about him!

Hi - I just got my first letter from My Grandson.  He said he was doing ok.  Missed my cookies and he can't wait for some. I can't make his PIR so I won't get to see him till after A School.  It's hard but it will be better once he is in school.

Hi, everyone.  Pray for our guys and gals who are having RLP tomorrow at OCS in  Newport.  its so important that they pass this as it delays their graduation by 3 weeks if they fail it.  We need them to pass this thing!!!

Hi, everyone. I'm Zak's granma!  He is in his 3rd week at OCS in Newport, RI.  Its pretty tough on him right now but we keep telling him just look down the road to May 13 when he'll graduate (if all goes well!) and transfer to Penscola, a days drive from us!

Missing grandson very much. Third week of boot camp. He has a cold and a little down but we gave him the big rah rah rah speech. When the going gets tough the tough get going. Told him that the Lord will give him all the strength he needs. WE serve an awesome God.
