Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by NavyFamily on June 26, 2017 at 1:05pm: Michelle 3 ... When my son stays on base then he is fine and does not have to report where he will be. If he is leaving base then you have to let them know where you are going and where you are staying and exactly what you are doing.

I think that's only when you are taking leave though not just liberty for the weekend.

That may be different depending on their liberty card color also. When you are on the first color I think you have to report everything all the time. As you get the other two colors he won't have to report as much or as often.

Yeah I did. I had to buy a router and a modem from the store that was xfinity compatible. Then I just called the company and had them register it over the phone also buy a coax cord all can be purchased from NEX

Next week is his birthday and I want to get a cake delivered to him. On one of the pages I saw comments about a bakery in Groton that delivers on base. Does anyone know the name of this bakery?? It was described as being the best!! Thanks
