That does sound like an awfully long time to be on hold at this phase, Susan. Is your son in the SECF training pipeline? My son Zach is SECF and started BESS just this week. It'd nice to have a better idea of how long he'll be in Connecticut.

Well we drop off our son about 12pm. Had lunch with him and said our goodbyes. Miss him already. It sure was great having him home for awhile. Thank God for cell phones and computers. He sure has grown up.

Well My son leaves back to Groton tomorrow. He's staying over a friends house tonight. We'll be on our way to the base at 10am, getting there about 12:30pm. Not looking forward to it. Thank God he's only a few hours away and he has his blue card so he's able to come home for the weekends when he doesn't have duty or watch. It sure was great having him home for the holidays.

We pick up our son Dan at Groton this afternoon. He looks great. Just had dinner a while ago. We are treating today like its Christmas day. He loved his gifts and so did we. My candles have been burning since Christmas eve and will keep burning til Jan 4th when he goes back to Groton. He loved the banner we got for him that will also stay outside til he leaves.
