Hi everyone. My fiance is in BESS at the moment and was given what he had hoped for, STS:) We talked about that for an hour the other night and he seems so excited about it. My son and I are going to be moving up there soon and I'd love to get to know some more ladies. I'm flying up by myself May 5th and we are getting married! Can't wait:)

I'm here!! Arrived last night and we got keys to our house today! I'm just so happy to finally have our family together again. Now we start the headache of trying to figure out how to get our move paid for so we can have our household goods shipped, lol!

cjasmim--sometimes. The ATT classes were on hold, they were backed up, so most of the Sailors took that time to put in for leave. They will let your guy know while he is there. My son didnt expect to get any leave until after TCNO...but it worked out like this. Nothing is ever in stone..:))

Gayle---the BESS graduation is much smaller, more personable, and a lot more relaxed than the PIR ceremony. It is a smaller group of Sailors (60 or 70), it is held in room at the Base. There is a platform with  a podium where several officers/chiefs make short speeches and then the sailors line up to walk across the platform and get their diploma. Pictures are welcome. It was a nice ceremony and i was glad i went, especially since they are able to leave the base and hang out for the day. In my case...my son was coming home with us to spend a week of leave..:))
