Hi!

We've been here since December and I am having terrible problems with meeting other wives on my husband's boat or just other wives/gfs, in general, to talk to and maybe hang out when our husbands/boyfriends have duty. My husband is on the Chicago and is a nuke. If you know of anyone who's in my position, Please let me know! It's just me and the dog when he's not at home and I hate me quiet house!!!

Thanks- Elizabeth

There should be a Family Readiness Group or a Family Support Group. Ask the Ombudsman for information about it. I seem to remember the last time Chicago pulled in off deployment there were banners EVERYWHERE.
Hey girl, I am a wife of what your hubby on the sub would call a "surface puke". I have sent you a friend request, and would be happy to help you find more of us Navy Wives around the island.
Sonar: I've looked into that but haven't really found out anything. Also, I have no idea who is or how to find the ombudsman. I don't if if it's just my husband but he can't (or won't/forgets) to ask questions that I ask him.
Marla: Lol, have never heard the term surface puke before! Accepted your request, would love some help in meeting some wives around the island. Thanks!
I think it may be harder for Nuke wives. My husband is also on the Chicago, but he has a lot more time than a Nuke would...meaning we go out more and meet other people more. Hang in there, all the wives I've met so far are very friendly! Also, there is a family readiness group tomorrow at 630pm. Unfortunately I don't know where it's at, there may be some information on a website somewhere, but I'm just going because my friend is on the board or something. Our ombudsman is Chief Sullivan's wife, Rebekah. I'll message you her facebook.
I think it may be at the Catlin Park Community Center. That's where it was in April anyways, and that's the only information I could find about it.
I know what you mean
I am a USS Charlotte mom and looking for other moms
I know one other mom but would like to know other moms with the USS Charlotte.
thanks
