Hello!!!  It's been awhile since I posted.  My sailor is on deployment now.

Good news is he made Chief!!!  He will be pinned in a couple of weeks.  We are very excited for him but he won't be able to have anyone at the ceremony since he is deployed!  I hope they take pictures for me....

He is also waiting for a letter to approving his quals for ANav at this time.  He has been very busy and stressed with all he has going on.  I hope that will ease up soon.

This is his first deployment as a husband and father so I am anxious to see how he handles that. I think he will do great but you know us moms...we worry anyway.

I hope everyone and their sailors are doing well.  Praying for those that were affected by Hurricane Harvey and for those in the path of Hurricane Irma.

I grew up in S. Louisiana and lived through many hurricanes but none as bad as these 2.

Praying for the USS McCain, her crew and the families of their crew. May they find comfort, knowing they are not alone & that so many people care, & have them in prayer. We also continue to remember the crew & families of the USS Fitzgerald, as they continue to struggle with their recent loss. This is such heart breaking news, again, & affects all of us one way or another, as we light our blue candles in honor of all who serve.
