Kathleen, I understand how you feel. My son is the only one aboard the Olympia. I found a wife from the Olympia but she has not been on N4M in a long time. Glad you have found someone familiar to you. Sometimes I feel very left out hearing about the other boats and what they are doing.

Hello Everyone! My son left for Hawaii yesterday for his first assignment aboard the USS Cheyenne. I am looking forward to visiting him there in the spring as my other son completes his West-Pac tour. He's stationed aboard the Nimitz out of San Diego but Hawaii will be his last stop. I would love to see both of my sailors at the same time!
I look forward to getting to know all of ya'll!

Wow! Thanks for the warning on Jay Walking and Cell phones while driving! I did not know either and we are planning a family trip the first of January. And there is no way military will be given a break on fines. The military is 1 way to make money for the city.

Lynda - I believe BEQ stands for Bachelor Enlisted Quarters. Please correct me on this if I am incorrect. HAGN

A huge, warm welcome to Rachelle. I am new to the group, also, and hope to make many new friends on here as Michael progresses through his Navy days. What is your son going to be in the Navy?

Sonar Chief - I see Gary beat me to the answer...Yes, Michael and Nick are VLS GMs. I'm sure they will enjoy the USS Lake Erie from everything I've read about it so far.

HAGD everyone!
