Hello everyone; hope you are all well tonight.

I see my dear friend, Gary T, from the Great Lakes A School site joined and introduced himself to you all. He has added so much knowledge and help to the GL site and I know he will be a job to have as a contributing member on here. There were 5 of us whose loved ones joined the Navy at about the same time and were stationed in GL for their initial training. All 5 of our boys were GMs, so we got to know each other very well over the miles. Gary and I were lucky in that his son and my grandson's orders are for the same C School and the same ship in Hawaii. How neat is that? I think it is great.

I wish all of you a very wonderful Sunday. Vee

Hi Navy Moms
Is there any Applesbee's in Hawai'i?
The Applesbee's restarant is honoring active and retired Vets on Veteran'S Day.

Hello all, I am new to this site, but have been a regular member of Navy For Moms since last November. My grandson has received his orders and will be stationed on the USS Lake Erie upon completion of C School. I'm excited about finding this group and meeting all of you. BTW, I am a California grandmother.....so Hawaii is only 4 hours away by air....
