TY Melia I'm not a perfect mom by far.............(my sons tells he that I did a loving job....LOL) anyhow you are right about supporting your husband how lucky he is to have you ......and how lucky you are to have him ....it doesn't seem that many have future goals anymore.the live for today is what has gotten everyone where they are today don't you think Melia?
I'm sure that it bring a smile to your husband face to know the you trust and support him.

Heather your right about the Quals ...I haven't heard about any chiefs going....just know that as of to date they have not decided to let my son go ...I thought they were dealing with the lazy ones by not letting them reenlist.
but really we don't talk about work very much ( that was from talk on here)
I just know that my son has volunteered and wants to go ....he has a plan for his career so I hope he gets what he wants,as I do for all our guy/gals out there.
So Heather do you have the wedding planned yet???

Heather I talked briefly to my son and he said that the Santa Fe is right across the pier from him. Their subs are in the same squadron so they have the same oppurtunites to volunteer or be pulled as the rest,
I would not worry about them pulling people right now, there are
few volunteers, I sure hope they decide to let my son go , He really wants to, and maybe he'll stop buying cars.............lol

I'd like to help if i can ....Or am I mixed up again

You said it well Melia ............sometimes my brian goes so fast i can't get it all down in writiing ..and you are right It is all though the Navy.
My son loves the Sub But He looked at all the benifits and this is a career choice. I also believe it is sea duty. I know because of my son time on a sub, I don't believe the he will go right back to the sub ( they have to do land duty dont' they ) or maybe they can choose if they want this to count as land duty. .........I do know that my son loves where he is and is making choices to get what he wants........
I really don't think Obama getting in had anything to do with it.....I think it is just where we are as a country. ( that conversaition just stuck in my head) I never agreed with not everyone getting a bonus....every job is just as important as the next dont' you think... as for all the training they get .....their chances of getting better paying jobs in the civilian would be a great bonus
maybe I'm just being a "mom"
Yes I made it to school .and handed in my paper and the teacher said have a great spring break........so now I sit trying to stay awake waiting for my next class......
Melia do you all have get togethers I'd love to join one I'm in the city every couple of weeks

well as far as reenlistment bonus's go .......that worry is over for him ......he has already reenlisted, so he got his, but I was under the impression that there will be very few jobs that will be offering the nice bonuses now. ........I'm not into politics but I do remember hearing, when a couple of the guys were sitting around yacking last summer, that if Obama got in it would not be good for their bonuses what sub is your guy on

They did come to the sub, "I believe they sent a letter to the division" and asked for volunteers.
My son has volunteered but does not know let if they are going to let him go.
If you want I can ask him more questions, we don't talk about work to much .....but he didn't think that it was a good thing not to bring up the fact that he might be going to Iraq, My son knows another guy that has volunteered and I have also talked to a mom who's son has been pulled from a sub and was told he will be going to Africa...I told my son that if he was sent to Africa that his brother and I would just go over there to visit.
