Hi all!! Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas with our Navy son. He has been home for several weeks. I can't remember the last time we had Christmas tog as a family!!! Hope to take some pictures to cherish for years. Then next Friday he leaves for shore duty in Guam.
We stayed at K Bay several times when we visited Hawaii. Same deal, your sailor has to be there to get you in. There are cottages on the water, very peaceful, until the Navy planes practice touch and goes.Full kitchen, the 3 bedroom villas have a washer and dryer. It was huge. We could have slept in the walkin closet!!! Also have to have a background check. I have been checked so often in the past 4+ years...
I already miss Hawaii!!! I made friends there. I was able to get from here to there with no problem, unless it was residential. It has been hard for me and I am sure for my son also.
My son had no problem purchasing a car or a motorcycle. Everything is expensive there. He made the decision to sell his car one time before deployment and then deployment was pushed out. Whoops, bought another car and did not sell it when the boat went out. The joys of deployment!
Great news for Little Bing!!!! One of those tear-jerk moments that will last a lifetime. Great life memories!!!
Thinking of you Rhonda!!!!
My Sailor is still stationed here. I would appreciate staying in this group.
You may delete me from this group. My son will be leaving Hawaii next year.
wow! That is awesome surprise!
