Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

LORIW-How exciting for you both, three years is a long time, I can relate. Our son has been there a little over 2 years now and we haven't been able to make it yet, too many family obligations at home with elderly parents. Enjoy & have fun with all the plans they've made for you!

I finally get to make the trip to Hawaii to see my son and daughter-in-law! They have our itinerary all planned out. So excited!! He has been over there for 3+ years.

My son arrived in Hawaii last Monday and has been just waiting with nothing to do and no one to really venture off with. He is feeling pretty sad at the moment. Hoping that changes once things go back to "normal" tomorrow.

Hi all...new to this group but my son has been in Hawaii for a year, attached to a fast attack. Since he got there, he met a girl, got his Dolphins, got engaged and hasn't yet been on an underway. Planning a life in Hawaii, for at least the next few years. A far distance from his entire family back in Ohio and PA!

It's the simple things that make us mom's happy, a text, a phone call and if you're very fortunate like you NAYVMom, a picture of our precious child that we miss so darn much! Fantastic, looks like he's having a blast!

tysmom........no not this year..........as much as I would love it!!! My sailor is in C School in CT right now and his wife and son are living with family so no place to stay! My husband says Christmas 2017 is good for him. He doesn't realize how that kills me to not see my grandson for that long.........
