Congratulations anotherproudmom! I'm glad he's still hanging in there!! I pray he makes it!! I feel at peace today though I agree with Wyomingmom yesterday was one hell of a hard day! You know though, my son has his head up and has a game plan. He has to see medical tomorrow to find out what he has to do as far as physical therapy, etc and then he is headed over to the counselor to see if he can enroll in some college prep classes. I talked with him a couple of times today and he was just "antsy" cause he could see the SWCC team and he wanted to be in there getting his butt kicked! lol!! I am just grateful he had the opportunity to try. Gee Wyomingmom I didn't know we were supposed to apologize for crying to everyone, so I guess I owe a few of you some I'm sorry's!!! I don't think I could have made it through without you guys. But I'm stopping there cause Lord knows I can't get started with that crying mess again!!! Night everyone!!!! Lots of love to all!!

Hello everyone, I sure hope this day finds everyone at peace with what their Sons are doing in the Navy. My heart breaks for each one of these young men who have Dor'd because I know they tried so hard. Im sure life will find something else exciting for them and Im so proud of the all for trying. Has of yesterday I believe their were 12 left and my Son is still in it. It is way harder than I think they ever expected!

Thanks wyomingmom. Mine too wants to get on with his life. Still in PCty doing work for the Maintenance Dept. Says it is hard since the place is small and he is still living with the guys in the class. At least your son is in cool SD. It is very humid and in the high 90s in PCty. Spend the last two days working indoors. Can hardly wait for his orders to go to the next place. I'm hoping he might get some leave before the A school starts. All the best.

Good Morning Ladies! Thanks to all of you for your kind words and your support. It was a long hard night last night, but now that I have cried buckets I got up this morning and put on my big girl panites and am ready for the next challenge! I talked to my son last night and though he was very emotional he already had a new game plan. Since he did not DOR and was medically dropped his adventure will be a little different. As of right now he will stay in California and they are trying to get him an "office job." At the end of 4 months they will re-examine his physical condition and though he cannot ever return to Spec Ops he will at least get to choose a job and go on from there. He plans to enroll in some college-prep classes and utilize this down time wisely. Nothchannel!! WOW! It has been a long time! I'm glad your son got a job he will like! I also want to say I am not leaving this site. I know my posts will change because I will not know what is going on in SWCC but I'm still here and will be happy to help any one I can. For those of you whose sons are no longer in SWCC I hope you won't leave and will keep us posted on what is happening with your sons/husbands. This has been a long, hard, emotional journey and it isn't over yet!!! Now for you new ladies let me take this opportunity to pass on some info (WyomingMom I can see you smiling because I am posting this) there are a lot of great ways to support our troops-these are some of my favorites-redshirtfridays.org (Buy a tshirt and wear red on Fridays to support our guys) bluestarmothers.org (A great organization with history) homesforourtroops.com (Like Habitat for Humanity but focuses on building houses for injured soldiers) and there is always the USO. Please find some time and check out a group and support our guys in service! Love to you all!!! A new day has begun....

Pam and Wyoming mom, ong time no chat. Sorry to hear about your sons' DORs. It happened to my son in his program last week. Must admit that it was not fun dealing with the uncertainty for almost five days of what would happen next. He was not alone, there were three others. On Monday morning the detailer had about six options for him. He was given an opportunity for a rating that I think he will like. It is not a physical one and requires a high level security clearance. So now, I am just waiting for the feds to knock at my door as well as all of our neighbors. Keep the faith, they gave it their best.
