Hello. Diana welcome to our family of SWCC moms. It is nice to have you on board with us, although I am sorry for the circumstances that brought you here. Pam is right we are good listeners and we teach and support each other to the fullest. I can not believe that they are so close to classing up. It seemed so far away when we were at PIR. My son sounds anxious to begin says that although he has lost 7 more pounds since BC (13 # altogether) he says he feels himself getting stronger. Pam tell my son in law to hang tough I know he can work through this. I am thinking ans praying for him. Oh yeah on our bike trip last weekend we rode on a Blue Star highway. I would not have even paid attention to it, if you would not have told me about them. Thanks it was an emotional 73 miles. LOL Miss ya all, think of you all daily. (-:

Good Morning Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well and talking with your sailors regularly. Diana, I talked with my son last night and told him to be on the look-out for your son's arrival. Being we can't give names on here, I just described the situation-so he said he would be watching for his arrival and let him know we know each other! I love your quote! My son and I had a talk regarding that same thing last night. he has been suffering with a knee problem and it now appears he may have a stress fracture in his right shin. I think he is really questioning whether his body will hold up. We are trying to keep faith that everything happens for a reason and that if he makes it-it was meant to be but if he doesn't there was a purpose. I miss talking to you guys every day, but I know every one is busy....twoo weeks until they class up! I'm excited. Have a great ending to your week and a great start to the weekend. Navy Mom hugs to all!!!

Thanks Pam. My son is a great guy and I pray that he will find this is a wonderful move for him. I read a quote today that said "sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." After researching SWCC last night, I believe this is the case for my son, M.

Hey Diana and Welcome to our little group!!! Most of us on here were fortunate enough to meet each other during boot camp, so we've been together a while. I'm sorry to hear about your son missing his swim time-I know that can be so frustrating! He will definitely be classing up with our sons!! They have been in San Diego for a few weeks (has it been a month already???). I'll make sure to tell my son to be on the look out for your son coming in! SWCC=Special warfare Combatant Crewman!!!! If you have any questions we can help with let us know. We welcome you into our group. We are very good listeners and equally as good at venting!!! lol!!! Let us know if we can help and welcome to the group!!! Pam

Hello! I am new to the group. My son was in Pre-Buds and wast to leave for Buds on Tuesday after his Monday test out. He missed his swim time by 13 seconds and was dropped. He was reclassified today and signed his SWCC contract. He said his training starts on July 12 and will be heading to San Diego sometime before then. He gets his orders tomorrow. Of course, he was very disappointed to loose his SEALS contract, but seems very excited to have the SWCC opportunity. Hope I am in the right place here! I know very little about SWCC, but, trust me, by the end of the night after spending some time researching I will be alot less clueless!
