My son is one that is bored.....I am going to have to facebook you son and tell him to share some of that with my son. LOL I am glad you are feeling better. I am looking forward to graduation and I know she is too. Today is scholarship luncheon....AKA the beginning of the emotional roller coaster. HAHA---Nice to hear from you Ms. Pam.

Good Morning!!! I feel like I have not been very social!!! I seemed to have picked up a little stomach virus while I was gone, so I have been a little down. Feeling better now though. It's funny, I was having the same thoughts about not calling everyday, but every night my son has called. He was so excited last night about being issued all the dive gear!! He said some of the guys were complaining about having to carry around all that heavy stuff but he was thrilled...he said every thing they do just brings his dream closer to reality. I will share this with you guys...he said he had a very emotional moment standing in the lot the other day. He said that he couldn't help but think of all the SEALS and SWCC guys who had fought for their country (especially the ones who got the pirates recently) and how they stood in that very same lot feeling exactly how he feels now. He said that while others were complaining about the boredom he felt so honored to be where they had been. Made me cry!! Wyomingmom I know you guys must be excited about graduation coming up! Love to you all!! Have a great day! P

Tennis Mom. That is too cool. I also got to text my son last night...it was initiated by him. YEAH LOL. He told me that one boy got into some trouble for "something" in the barraks. I am not going to repeat what it was. So he said he was going to bed early (9pm) because they have a "brutal beating coming there way today" Poor guys. I am glad that they are going to start some PT. ~~~~Where is everyone~~~~Now that you all can talk to your sons, us moms are chopped liver. LOL Miss everyones bloggs. Have a great day

I agree anotherproudmom. Most of these boys are young and I had thought there would be a bit more "oversite" espically as new as they are to the NAVY. I guess the Navy knows what its doing...they just do it different than us moms. LOL I hope to hear from him tonight. I want to talk to him all of the time and I find it hard to not call call call. At the same time I do not want to hoover over him. It is hard to let go.

wyomingmom, Im thinking I hope it changes..Little to much fun I think atleast with the $ part, lol I guess that is part of learning! I think that they are nervous about some of the things they get to do today. Best of luck boys!

Son sounds good. Finally got to have a real converstaion with him last night. Sounds like they enjoyed their liberty weekend. He has 2 roommates one from 810 and one that has been there for a bit and was held back for medical. It sounds like they will be a small group he thinks all the 810 guys and then 10-12 others. I am now waiting on an address to mail a few clothes to him. He said it is great there. (-: I think that feeling might change when actual training starts LOL

Pam, glad you are back. Well sounds like so far so good for the boys (and the moms). My son seemed to be busy and did not have lots of time to talk. Hey Pam...My daughter spent lots of time texting with your son...how funny is that?
