For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by tennis mom on May 7, 2010 at 9:33pm: My son called he told us the same thing about leaving on Friday for S/D . He also said A school does no start until July. So instead of painting the G/L base they will be painting the S/D base until July. Already trying to figure out when I can get to S/D to see him before A school starts. Ok ladies you all seem to know each other pretty well... did you meet for the first time at the PIR weekend. ?

How sweet are they!!! He said the same thing about leaving for CA Friday......so I hope it is true!!! Have a great weekend Ladies!!!

My son just called and said that an Officer came and sat by them at lunch yesterday and overhead them talking about how messed up it was that no one knew what was going on with them. He introduced hisself as the COMMANDING DUTY OFFICER!!! lol!!! My son said he was in a nervous sweat. Long story short, he listened to them and then they had a brief meeting after lunch. Tentatively, they are supposed to leave next Friday for CA!!! He apologized to them and said that they were scheduled for bootcamp at the wrong time (or something like that) and then the flood, but regardless they are getting them out of there as quickly as possible!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY proudlimom!!! I couldn't remember if it is today or tomorrow. Love to all!! Have a great weekend!! P

I am starting to plan my trip to Florida to see my daughter....hopefully we can get there for her B-day in August!!! What would I be getting excited for?? lol!! I saw that all your sons received their phones.....so I texted my son and he texted me back and said "Oh yeah, I got my phone the other day" I just love how he thought to call his mom right away!!!!! He called me last night finally!!! Anyway, I hope they get their orders soon, but my son seems ok...He does not have a roommate right now so he is happy about that.....he said he will probably get one soon. Anyway, have a great day everyone!

He said they were all joining together as a group and starting their own work outs so I feel better. I saw on the news last night where government offices in Tennessee will reopen today, so hopefully it won't take long to ge their orders to them. This air freshner thing is funny!! My son and his roomie got one too! Same scent because my son smelled your son's room Wyomingmom!!!! My son said his roomie needs foot spray tennismom!!! He said he had to tell him he would buy it if he would use it!!! That is so funny to me!! I love being able to talk to my son so much!! ok Wyomingmom here is my comment on all the short jokes...one of the most beautiful things in the world is a baby...God starts out with this beautiful little package and the further out He has to stretch you the uglier you get cause he had to stretch the beauty so far. We can't all be tall so I'll settle for beautiful!!! lol!!! Love ya!!
