Best I can tell from the internet there is a Naval facility in Millington TN and all the Navy orders and promotions are generated at this facility. On the Millington web site, it said all Navy promotions and orders around the world are on hold due to flooding on the base. Good news is they hope to be up and running again by sometime next week. They better stock up on air freshner they might be hanging out in the G/L for a few more weeks. I told my son its out of your control so stay strong, work hard, (he was also painting yesterday )and try to stay positive. and patient. Keep swimming!!

Son told me it was due to orders being held up in TN---but does anyone know where Millington TN comes into the picture? TennisMom-That is so funny that about the room freshner. I think the boys enjoy us on this site as much as we do. I could not tell you how many times my son said mom, I am glad you are on there and made such good friends at PIR---Wish I could have met more of you. Pam I know the short joke was just a little over your head..................

My son called today with the same info. He said they were painting and no one really knew what was going to happen or when it would happen. I gave him the same advice...grab some guys and go work out! Hopefully they will get orders soon or at least be assigned a work out time and place. I know they are frustrated but remember this is the military and things just take patience. Our job is to be supportive (even when we are mad and can't make sense of what is going on)!!! Keep your chins up and encourage your Sailor to grab a buddy/form a group and go swim and work out!!! Hang in there everyone!! The rollercoaster ride is now open (again)!!!! lol!!! P Oh yea, by the way, Wyomingmom I overlooked the short joke!!!

I told my son they need to stick together and work out as a group , and everything will work out okay !!!!!!! He said they were going to play football then work out. I asked him if he was enjoying is room smelling like a rasberry..he said mom how did you know we had bought air freshner I told him son i have told you for years moms know everything about there kids. There is a picture of their room on my sons facebook page I've not seen the picture, but, is Grandma said it's tiny, tiny.
Glad they got the room spray . I told my son you need foot spray. I buy foot spray by the case ....or my house would smell like ther room.
I send my son his i touch he also recieved it yesterday the box was crushed and the screen on the i touch was cracked. I mailed it in a sturdy box with lots of packing peanuts. My son said it looks like something heavy was placed on the box.
Fingers crossed they get their final order todays!!

He said he went "home" afgter mail call, had his goodies and the room did not smell like dog XXXX. We laughed. I also aked him to send a video of his room on his phone to me, he said "Mom, a picture will capture it all"
