My son graduated 7/1 and now is sitting in GL for a couple weeks I guess until he ships to SD... I sure hope that these guys that have not been working out too much can get that physical fitness back real quick!  Not sure what to expect once they get out to SD!!  Good luck to all that are headed that way...

I got a letter yesterday from my SR PIR 6/3 and he said he does not have his official orders, but the Yeoman said the SWCC guys will be in preBUDS for only 3 weeks! His PST went from elevated scores preBC to barely the minimum for SWCC (last week's PST in BC). I hope he can get 10 months of workout back in 3 weeks. I can't believe they let them get so out of shape in BC.

SWCC I believe has to do Pre-Buds also!!  Maybe someone can pop in and maybe shed some light for us.....

Hi Shell.  Yes, he was SWCC.  It was about 2 weeks.  I'm kind of confused about the whole thing.  I though preBuds were for SEALs?  Is that for SWCC as well?

surfguysmom:  2 weeks! yikes! I thought that SWCC did preBuds for approx 8 wks at GL. I wonder if I will find out at PIR 6/3 what my SR's deal is. Was you friend's son SWCC???

SWCCMOM, I was wondering the same thing.  My son's friend graduated BC in April and stayed in GL for two weeks before flying to San Diego.  I don't know what "liberty" he had, if any.  I'm planning to stay in GL until Wednesday so hopefully if he is still there we'll be able to see him.

Does anyone know if our recruit will leave directly from GL and head to San D after BC Graduation...or will he have a break in between to come home?

Amber I am not sure of my son's schedule.  We heard that he needs to get a medical waiver, but when I called his recruiter he wasn't able to find out any info.  I hope we will get the details when we see him on the 22nd.
