Hi Ladies, I also have been MIA for what a year almost. Nice to see you guys are still here. Lot's of news on my end. My aaron has been accepted for re-enlisted, he called it something different but means the same thing. He is doing great. Still with HSC 21. He tested yesterday for E5, and here is the big news. He is going on his first ship. He is doing the Mercy Cruise. He is very excited.
Lydia, Didn't Ben go on that cruise? Maybe you can tell me more about. Aaron said he will let me know where the stops are but I have seen anything yet. I see him every couple of weeks but lately he has been studying for the test so I have not bothered for him for the list.
Danielle,
I cannot believe the baby is 10 months now. It sounds like you are really having fun being a mom. I loved watching Aaron grow up. I am glad it is done, but I miss him being a little boy at times. Enjoy every minute, they grow up really fast. When can we start looking for girl?
You two write and let me know you are both doing. It is great seeing you are still here.
Gosh I have been MIA for so long.. just so much going on... hey yall lets catch up!!!!! So Ben is putting in a package for EOD... wants out of the Rescue Swimmer Rate... so we will see.... how is everyone??????
Danielle - A boy how wonderful!!! Owen is a great name! I am super excited that Tom will be home for the labor and birth. I am sorry he has not enjoyed being with HSC 21. Ben love the squadron.. I hope that you will still come here and chat with us even after he leaves !!!!!!!
0309 - Awesome that you are coming along with your teaching credentials.. Lord knows our society needs great teachers and I am sure you will be one of them... Did you tell us before what grade you will be teaching or subjects - if you did I can't remember. I think I must have seen your sons pix on the HSC 21 BJ FB page.. I check it all the time.. my B got BJ of the Month just before they left out on the Boxer... and he just got his E-5 Rank.. he is so excited cause he wants a place of his own!!! hahahah and a doggie. I am glad your son is doing so well!!!! ummmmmm What is your son's Rate that he will be starting C school.. B is a Rescue Swimmer and that is the First school that they have to pass in their Pipeline... how awesome that you shared your Christmas with the young man.. wonder why he could not go home... that is sad. =( but great that he enjoyed being with yall!!!
Hi Girls, I am still here and alive. Sorry I have been gone for so long. I have been very busy taking all my final test for my teaching credential and then for the last six months I have been doing my student teaching. I am going to be done with student teaching this Tuesday. YAHOO! It has been rough. I have had to work full time and not get paid at all. Great news Danielle, Congrats to you and Tom. Do you know if it is a girl or boy? How exciting!!!!!
My boy is still with HSC-21 and doing quite well. A couple of months ago he was awarded Black Jack of the Week. He has a new roommate thank goodness and they are getting along very well. He is from Indiana and could not go home for Christmas, so he joined our family. The two boys came home here for 4 days and helped with all the cooking, and eating of course.
My son is starting C School in April. He will be staying there in San Diego so I will still have him close to home. He says he is staying with his command so not to worry.
How have you been Lydia? Once I get through with Tuesday, I will have a little more time to keep in touch.
Let me know what is new with both of you and your Sailors. I need to catch up.
HI yall!!!!! Kwaimom.... great to meet you... it has been to quiet in here since just after I started this site...please tell us about yourself and are you the Sailor or do you have a family member who is the Sailor? Sounds like you are it!!! hahaha........
I thought it had died in here so to speak.... HI Danielle!!! Great to see you again!!! So what Rate will Tom be and who will he be with??? Congrats on that and also your clean bill of health!!!
Glad to see yall here... even tho these posts are old....
Hello everyone. I apologize that I have not contributed since joining, nor did I thank you for the warm welcome. Shortly after joining the group, we went through a communication blackout and then a long-term restriction on unnecessary transmissions. I was living on Kwajalein during that time and we were conducting several missions. I have since returned to CONUS and I am trying to re-acclimate. It is indeed strange to drive a car again. LOL
Hi everyone.... sure have missed yall..... my BlackJack is out on the Boxer right now with his Squadron.... =(
0309 YIPPIE you are back and with such great news!!!!
My son is right this moment taken an oral exam with his COs to get Crew Chief.. so Im anxiously waiting to hear from him on that.... he will deploy soon on the Boxer... to where, well, who knows hahahahah are any of yalls Black Jacks going out this time too??? Hey Girls, Sorry I have been gone for so long. I was busy with work and studying for my last test so that I can start my student teaching. Happy to report I PASSED and will be starting student teaching this fall.
Everything is going well with my son also. He does not have his wings yet although he is still working on getting them and hopes to have them by October.
How is everything going with you two? Please write and fill me in. I will be checking in more often now that I have that test behind me.
Looking forward to getting things started back up with you two. Please write soon.
