“Honoring Our Heroes” Event Planned for Labor Day Weekend

For immediate release

It’s long been the desire of Kathryn Bohn, Quad Cities Christian concert promoter & fundraiser, to produce an event to honor God, country and the military. Now it seems that dream will come true on Saturday, Sept 5th in LeClaire Park, Davenport, Ia. Bohn has teamed up with the Military Warriors Support Foundation to make “Honoring Our Heroes” a reality and raise funds for injured soldiers.

The night will include a Christian concert by Michael W. Smith who will also be appearing at Shawn Hannity’s military concerts throughout the country prior to his engagement in Davenport. The event will also be a time to honor all military and give supporters a venue to express gratitude for their service.

Bohn, who first heard about the Military Warriors on the John Hagee show last year, sees this fundraiser as an opportunity for Quad Citians to show support for the brave soldiers who risk all to serve their country at the same time raise funds to help with their injuries, both mental and physical.

Military Warriors Support Foundation originated in San Antonio, Tx when (ret) Lt General Leroy Sisco saw a need to touch soldiers returning with war injuries. In the last 2 years the MWSF has provided opportunity and programs to over 5,000 troops including job placement, retreat and recreational opportunities to help soldiers and their families and counseling for those returning from war.

General Sisco, a retired 3 star General will be coming to the Quad Cities with Matthew Hagee in the near future to make connections with Quad Cities’ military, community and business leaders and to secure financial help to produce the event.

Bohn has already begun fundraising and encourages anyone interested in helping, either as a sponsor or volunteer, to contact her via email:
