FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

How exciting. One day I am going to get to particiapte in an event!
Hope your day is good. Finally I can say things are quieting down . So I am doing laundry. You think I would find something else to do. Oh well, at least it will be done.

Navy Week has events throughout the country to celebrate life in the Navy. They have bands, ship simulators and public events. In St. Louis, we even got to see the Blue Angels!

I'll make room ! How nice to have so many treaters, we miss that her. ANd yes, I share your good wishes.
Love your sign to vote and we did. I was able to assist Mom with her voting - she being blind. IT went very smoothly. Just ALOT of people !!!!
I am glad to be home - just cannot get over this headache. I got it yestereday as I was undecorating Halloween - and redecorating for Thanksgiving. So today - I am doing nothing!

WE had 105 Trick or Treater - how about you all?
WE count becuase mom's birthday is on Halloween and she turned 90 - so the 90th treater geta a BIG speical bag of treats ! Had anice family party for her and friends then arrived for the even. Last of guest left around 8 PM - I am beat. But it was nice to be awaken with a phone call from our soialor :) He had to call home adn wish his Gran a Happy Birthday.

Good to be hearing from you all
Today - here in Rockford - bright and sunny . STill breezy, but beautiful. And sailor called too. During teh phone call with sailro, hubby called on cell phone - so I was actaully two way talking :)
Hubby is on way home now - be home by 2 PM. Good - he can help put teh Halloween decoratons back up.

Strong winds still here in New Lenox, but not as bad as Peotone who had a tornardo come through earlier...some tree branches down, but nothing significant. Thankful that the power has not gone out...
