We had big windstorms and some heavy rain in southwestern Illinois. St Louis seems to have been hit harder. Lots of branches down in our yard, a torn flag, and rain that blew in on the porch carpet were the worst we had. However, driving to work this morning was so dark, even at 6:30 am.

Northern IL Moms - how is the weather where you are?
Here in Rockford, strong winds - rain - then calm - then it just starts all over again. I have counted at least 8 different fronts moving through. We have not lost power, but I knwo some areas have.
Our trees are all still standing - but I don't have to rake -The wind blew them all UP teh hill and away from us :)

hubby is in Florida - in birhgt sunny - 80 degree - on teh beach weather. I told him he owes me.

Hope all are safe

Well, isn't that number funny. If an item is sold out at the restaurant, the code number that goes up on the waiter/waitress board is "86." Here, that number means tons of love! :) :) :) Grinning from ear to ear.

It is not only great to see you all working for such a great cause, but also being with each other with Navy Mom (& sis, I see!) love. We are there for each other, and will continue to be.
So, Karen, one time I may have to hop up to your house, catch the rest of the ride with you, and then come home. Can't quite justify the 5 hours on the road otherwise. We'll see.
In January, I will be VERY busy ladies. Anyone like to sew? Can use you for a special project....more information later.

Well done ladies! So sorry I missed it. Battling the flu (everyone said to get a flu shot), but hope to make the next packing party!

We had a great time! Ran out of boxes at 63. Will finish tomorrow and give you a final count. The Commander of the VFW who stopped in is going to be a partner to collect items for our troops. January packing party may be at their post!!!
