FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

WARNING - virus attached to an email from FED-X and UPS it is a fake and says your package not delivered - it is another bad virus - check out snopes
Isnt' this perfect for us to be mailing packages to our military! So glad for the Post Office !

I just received an email from a very trusted cousin of mine He was sharing that he checked this out on Snopes.com and it was on CNN. There is an email carrying a virus that will KILL your c drive and at this time no way to restart the computer at all. The email is titled : "Black in the White House." DO NOT OPEN IT!!!!! It instructed to delete it - and turn off computer. thougth I should share

I received my son's form letter last Thurs. He is ship 02/div 903 w/PIR 12/3/10. He said he was in a push division. I wonder what he'll be doing in the 900 division because he has no musical background. Maybe flags or staff support. I'm waiting for his 1st real letter for details. Then on to Goose Creek after graduation:)
